George M. McBee
As the founding member of GMM Consulting, LLC, George lends more than 25
years of real estate industry experience and expertise ranging from single tenant
retail developments to retail mall redevelopments by overseeing the entire
project development process.
George's experience includes project design and management as an employee
of several civil engineering firms to development management for retail land
development companies. Prior to starting GMM Consulting, LLC, George worked
for a Civil Engineer/Land Surveyor in New Jersey for 11 years and advanced
himself through the ranks and became the Project Manager before leaving and
moving to Florida in 1994. Upon his arrival in Florida, George worked as a Senior
Designer on many commercial projects with Avid Engineering. He became the
first Branch Manager of Avid's Orlando office and eventually became their COO
and then a partner in the firm. He also worked with Boyd Development
Corporation as Development Manager overseeing many different projects
including drug stores, convenience stores, grocery-anchored shopping centers
and commercial subdivisions. He received even more development experience
as Director of Development with Center America Property/New Plan Excel
Property Trust where he oversaw large grocery anchored/power centers
throughout the southeast United States. He also was with Michael Collard
Properties and was their Senior V.P. of Development where he managed several
grocery anchored shopping centers. George is an active member of the
International Council of Shopping Centers.
